The "Why" behind Before The Stork

The process of "trying" to get pregnant is wild. I think it's fair to say that most of us know little to nothing about what it takes, or about our own bodies in that capacity. We've never discussed with our doctors because typically they tell us not to worry about it until we've been trying for a year. We don't always talk about it with our girlfriends because it's a sensitive topic for a lot of women & our husbands certainly don't understand our bodies, no offense hubbies. We truly don't know what we don't know and if there's a book to teach us about it, I missed it.

The idea came to mind to start Before the Stork because after having conversation after conversation with fellow mom's to be, I felt like there was so much missed information. So many things I wished I had known so much earlier in this journey. I didn't want to know everything I now know after having Sutton, I wanted to know before.

The idea is, if we share our individual stories and feedback with one another, we can help empower and support each other to keep fighting for that little one, all while educating ourselves and each other on everything that's related. Let's talk fertility methods, reproductive blockers like endometriosis & PCOS, ovulation, hormones, and the countless other topics that are involved.

If you've made it this far then it's fair to say you're not fully cringing at my writing skills but I can promise you tiktok would have been much worse. That being said, if you have something to share that you believe would benefit even just one of us, then please don't hesitate & send it over.
